poca2hontas and me are having a blast doing a poem-fractal-pong. A pong is a thing the fractal-guys like to do, in which one artist hands his fractal over to the next who then transforms it into a new work. Then the second artist hands it back (or forwards to another artist) who again transforms it into a new artwork and so on and so on.
A poem-fractal-pong for us basically means she does a fractal which inspire me to write a poem which is the inspiration for her next fractal etc.

Tiefsee / Deep Sea (Pong2)Tiefsee
Blasser Schatten gespiegelt gesehen,
Farbschlieren gefischt in der Gischt,
umspült vom Echo der Wellen,
Meintest Du mich zu verstehen.
Doch das Korallenriff
am Grundesgrund
hast Du noch nie gestreift
den Marianengraben nie beben sehen
kannst die Tiefe nicht fassen.
Deep Sea
You saw a pale shadow, reflected,
fished for color striations in spray,
bathed in a silenced wave
you thought it was me you detected.
But the coral reef
at the bottom's bottom
remains yet untouched,
you never saw the Mariana Trench quiver,
can't grip the depth.
Petrified (poem-fractal-pong 4)At some point,
your wave has been petrified,
you simulate change without moving.
Progress
is the wave you break.
This stone
won't move without you.
Perceived Limitations (Pong 6)We forgot
our futures are not carved in stone.
The structures below our sleepwalking feet
form and reform past recognition
before we ever sense them.
We chose
our circular isolation,
tiny openings
for filtered information
warped and twisted into
subjective perception.
Caught up
in the metallic colours
of attack and defence,
we ignore the vast space
that could be our own,
if only we remembered
how to travel through space-time
by building bridges
in our minds.
Starship Fees (Pong 8)You parked your starship in front of my door,
clouded in stellar nebulae.
Be aware this is a no-parking zone,
they will charge twice for spacecraft
and dreams are not their currency.
(Their minds can't reach beyond the atmosphere, so they envy your visions.)
Remedy (Pong10)Velvet black oil on bright porcelain skin.
Does the dark gold soothe your needs
when you stitch it into your veins with pearly pins?
Is that why you enslaved yourself to it,
the poison leaving your skin breathless
and your blood tainted?
You bath in it like it was water,
pour it all over you,
soak in its darkness
and we fear you might finally drink it,
drown in it.
I admit we are scared princess,
afraid of your stained skin,
afraid of the poison you spread over it,
afraid whatever clutched you in its grasp
is contagious and we might catch it from touching you.
But we know the worth of your skin,
the sacredness of your blood.
That's why we can't stand to watch
when you stitch the poison through your skin
marring it with yet another hole
defiling your blood with oil
to feed your metallic parts
that you call “peace-keepers”
but we can't think of as anything but –
weapons.
Weapons to scare off those
that might remedy your needs
in ways the poison doesn't agree with.
Princ
Stinging Tigers (pong12)We are tigers
panthers graced with stripes
hunting down treasures
rooted in our souls
Stinging bees
that will infect you
with a hunger to survive
and two drops of golden values
Wildcat insects
strong in numbers
a beehive of prowling predators
painstakingly untamed
Run with us
if you can fly
cling to our fur
to learn how to

Hello, old place
Hello old place, how have you been while I was gone? I see you look very different, bought yourself some new clothes I guess. Changed your persona, changed your face. But what about your soul? Is it still that old well deep enough to awe and inspire me? Can't blame you for changing, I guess, because so did I. And yet I didn't. Let's see if our new old selves can still be friends. If anyone around here remembers me, feel free to say hello and link me to your newest deviation (or the one you are the most proud of).
This is the time for the stubborn ones
Being more stubborn and persistant than a virus, introverted enough to entertain yourself and a little scared of too close social interaction might come in handy these days. Go ahead and update your skills sheet with the odd pebbles you always kept hidden.
Feeling old
I haven't been here for what feels like a century and everything looks so different I hardly recognize it. It's not that the new design isn't beautiful to my eyes, but I get lost and can't sort things the way I want to, so I still keep switching back to the old one. Sometimes I wish the internet was more like a book that doesn't change after you printed it. Besides that I'm having trouble gathering up my bones for yet another battle when they're still broken from the last. Sometimes I wish I were tougher, less sensitive - even though I wholeheartedly believe that what this world needs is not new steel walls, fighters or weapons, but more open arms, hearts and eyes. I heard there is a thing called the ten percent rule. You need ten percent of people supporting a new paradigm in order to change the status quo. I know there's others like me out there, but it seems we aren't ten percent yet. I wonder if it's better I can't seee the current statistics, they might be too depressing.
